Approximately 10 days after the previous month's deadline, the scholarship winners are notified, either by PLEXUSS messenger, by phone, or by email. By mid-month, the winner(s) will be announced on the site and via email. You can also see past scholarship winners on the scholarship page.

When are winners announced?

We may ask for supporting documentation to verify a winner's profile. Before submitting a scholarship entry, please verify that your PLEXUSS profile information is accurate. The use of intentionally false or fraudulent information will disqualify you from receiving the prize. We will also disqualify duplicate accounts used to enter a drawing multiple times.
If you are chosen as a winner, we will notify you via PLEXUSS messenger, your phone, or through your personal email. We recommend you check your PLEXUSS messages once a week and that you answer your phone to unknown numbers. We will select another winner if we are unable to reach a winner after three days from initial contact.

How is a winner verified?

Along with verifying your profile information, we ask our winners to a short video of them accepting their award as well as answering a few questions about what they plan to do when they reach college. By doing so, we can show the PLEXUSS community that our awards are indeed being presented to real people on a regular basis.&nbsp;

What do I do if I win?

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to disburse prizes directly to the winners through an Amazon Gift Card so they can be used as soon as possible.

How will I get the money?

You may use the money for anything school-related: books, tuition, lodging, etc. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, you may also use the funds to benefit your high school career, even before you head to college.
Once you submit your scholarship application, how long does it usually take to find out if you have won?
A scholarship period is defined as one calendar month. A scholarship cycle begins on the 1st and ends on the last day of the month. The winner is generally selected from the 1st through the 10th and is announced around the 15th of the following month.

How can the money be used?

The scholarship winner will be selected based on three factors:

<li>Community contribution to the PLEXUSS platform.</li>
<li>College readiness based on your profile.</li>

We will shortlist entries based on the first factor. The top 3% of responses (as rated by three independent graders) across all PLEXUSS scholarship submissions will be considered for final selection. As part of the final selection process, both the second and third factors will be considered.
Your community contribution corresponds to your positive engagement with other users on PLEXUSS. The more student questions you answer, and the more people you connect with, the higher your score will be. Meanwhile, college readiness depends on how you use the resources we provide you on the site. You can improve your college readiness score by regularly visiting our site, adding colleges to your favorites, reading our club forums, and keeping your profile up to date.

How is the winner selected?

A winner will be picked for every 250 unique individuals who enter during the selection period. For instance, if 500 individuals enter during a scholarship period, two winners will be picked. If less than 250 entries are accumulated by the end of the month, those entries will automatically be moved to the next selection period.

How many scholarship winners will there be each month?

Certainly! If you have already entered a PLEXUSS scholarship but didn't win, you can reapply for the same scholarship.

I've already applied for a scholarship, can I apply for a scholarship again?

You can use each unique prompt response once per month. A prompt response can be reused in the following months so long as it has not won a scholarship.

Is it possible to reuse a prompt response I have already used?

A student may win a PLEXUSS sponsored scholarship once every six months. You will be eligible to win another scholarship after half a year has passed.

How many PLEXUSS scholarships can I win?

Yes. As long as all scholarship conditions are met, each entry submission counts as a single entry and will increase your chances of winning.

Is it possible to enter more than one scholarship in a single month?

To maximize your scholarship opportunities, we encourage you to completely fill out your PLEXUSS profile.
