Meet the Team

Soul Circle wouldn’t be complete without the love, support, and dedication from our team

Meet Yasmeen Duncan

Arts in Health Programming Intern

My name is Yasmeen Duncan. I am a senior BFA acting and directing student from Detroit, MI. I have passion for arts and exploring the ways the arts can transform people. Theatre is an explanation of life to the living. It is about being human.

Anything human is mentionable, anything mentionable is manageable

Meet Mary Holiman

Arts in Health Programming Intern

I am a self-proclaimed “Blerd” and have been interested in the arts since I was a child from singing on the choir, being on the dance team, writing short stories, and acting in school plays. As a future public health professional, I’m interested in arts in health along with the intersection between the media and culture. My target population is Black women and girls. I aspire to start my own non-profit organization centered around making mental healthcare and treatment more accessible for low-income and at-risk youth. I like to try new things and I consider myself a free spirit. I graduated with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with Concentrations in Psychology & Criminology from Johnson C. Smith University. I’m currently in my final year at NYU School of Global Public Health getting my MPH with a Concentration in Community Health Science & Practice.

Life isn’t about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself
